The measure of radio-isotopes is used in nuclear medicine to control and follow the contamination level of a patient who has manipuled radio-isotopes.
Usally when measuring a radio-isotope, the first thing to do is to trap it and make it deposit on a support.
The electro-deposition system is the most efficient principle for trapping a radio-element in liquid solution.This principle allow to deposit the radio-isotopes contained in a solution onto a metallic plate. To measure the quantity of radio-element trapped, the metallic plate is afterwards placed into a suitable machine (spectrometer or other one).

A specific electrode is diped in the solution which contains radio-isotopes.
This specific electrode, in rotary movement, represents the anode of a system whose cathode will be a small metallic plate fixed at the bottom of the cell (or bottle of electrolysis).
A direct controled and constant current is then applied to this solution and will entail, by electrolysis (chemical decomposition of elements to study in the solution), the galvanic deposit of radio-isotope(s) inside the solution.

This possibility (that does not exist on other available competitor device, on market) presents the advantage of using very cheaper flasks.This is essential because this type of consumable must be thrown out very often (radioactive contamination of bottles). Moreover, the screw/unscrew of these 3 types of flasks is almost instantaneous and particularly easly.
EDP 7000 device is equipped with an internal container for accidental liquide solution leak.
In spite of the high consumption in current of this system (5 Amperes), the up to date electronics inside this device allows working very outside its maximum capacity, guaranteing thus long periods of work without a particular fatigue of the electronic circuits. Realized with the best materials and great care, EDP 7000 is conceived to permit a fast and easy maintenance by the user himself.
